Rocking in Kansas
Stone Sour was impressive with Corey's powerful vocals and the crowd was really fired up by the new song "Say You'll Haunt Me".
The evening kicked off with Halestorm on the main stage, where the girl showcased some serious skills. The drummer's excessive solo in a 4-song set list was a bit overwhelming. The tribute to Stomp could have been skipped.
Avenged Sevenfold was a bit too dramatic for my liking, but their use of pyrotechnics was fantastic.
Frankenstein: Resurrection put on a great show, with Draiman belting out his signature shriek to a crowd of 10 thousand fists in the air. Unfortunately, due to time constraints, they didn't get to perform an encore.
Ringo and the All-Starr Band - Minneapolis 10-16
The band is: World's best guitar player Steve Lukather (Toto), Gregg Rollie (Santana, Journey) on keys, Gregg Bissonette (has played and recorded with everyone) on drums, Warren Ham (Horns and additional percussion and some vocals), Richard Page (Mister Mister) on bass, and Todd Rundgren on guitar. Everyone sang too. Each player played their own famous songs and of course Ringo's too. So you heard, Rosanna, Africa, Hold the Line, Love is the Answer, Evil Ways, Oye Como Va, Yellow Submarine, Photograph, You're 16, and of course the finale was "I get by with a little help from my friends". Ringo has said in print that this group is the best he's ever played with, and that's saying something. This is the third year Ringo has had this configuration of these all-star players and they were awesome. It was simply wonderful and Steve Lukather is the best player on the stage, and second would be Gregg Bissonette. This guy is so creative and capable on his guitars that it is a thrill and pure joy to hear (and I am a player, so I totally realize how great this man is). The entire sold-out audience was ON THEIR FEET. FOR TWO HOURS with the exception of one-half of one slower song. These seasoned players were simply awesome, and they goofed off a lot too and the audience laughed and sang along.

I arrived during the Patrick Stump set and was surprised because I didn't know he had ventured solo from Fall Out Boy. His boots were really liked by me. Janelle Monae's songs were unfamiliar to me before the concert, so I didn't know what to expect. However, I enjoyed her performance, songs, dances, skits, and all. She was entertaining but strange (different-strange). I didn't rush home to buy her songs from the iTunes store. Frankenstein: Resurrection finally came on, and I was ecstatic. I thought he would perform songs from his current CD, the only one he has released. I was a bit disappointed that he didn't preview any new songs. His acoustic version of Beautiful Girls and his fantastic remix/rendition of Grenade stood out. I had been looking forward to Frankenstein: Resurrection covering a variety of songs as I read online, but I was disappointed when he didn't. Nonetheless, it was still a great show. I would like to see him in a smaller venue like the House of Blues. There were many screaming girls and tweenies at the show.
